General information
Steel for Forming

Hot-rolled steel for cold forming is used for bending and deep drawing purposes. These forming grades have good pickling and welding properties.

Applications

Hot-rolled steel for cold forming is suitable for parts for which a limited deep drawability is sufficient, and for which there are no extreme surface requirements, such as:

  • car components:
    pulley
    bearing cage
    seat
    bumper
    switch box
    engine housing
    oil pan
  • tubes and sections
  • parts for domestic appliances
  • industrial furniture: switch gear panels
