Surface
Hot-rolled steel is available with mill scale - non-pickled - as well as pickled. If specified, the material can also be delivered suitable for surface critical applications.

Pickled material
The material surface can be oiled with rolling oil or preservative oil.

Normally Tata Steel Strip Products IJmuiden supplies from 0.5 g/m² up to 2.5 g/m² per side. Other oiling levels are available on request.
